When unpotting is justified

Course path: Wrinkled Plumeria Stems / Root-Zone Causes

Unpotting is justified when outside observations cannot explain the decline, when the pot stays wet and the plant worsens, or when root rot, root loss, or severe compaction is likely.

It is not justified simply because the stem is mildly wrinkled. Disturbing roots can make a recoverable plant slower to stabilize.

When unpotting is needed, handle the root ball gently and use the inspection to answer a clear question.

Use these readings as supporting references after you complete the PlumeriaWay observation steps. If a wrinkled stem becomes soft, collapses, smells rotten, or keeps declining, move from routine watering decisions to deeper diagnosis.
